Hills

I feel that i have a greater addiction to hills when wearing vibrams or no shoes, so i sought out a hill today. This is what i found.
It was incredibly muddy, but a great hill nonetheless, and i ran 5 miles worth of loops on it (About 7 loops) consisting of running up, circling around, falling, and a nice decent that didn't pound my quads into oblivion like monday's run. It was a strange day weather wise, i was hoping for snow, but nothing but a frothy look to the sky. Found my running log from before i went digital. Good times.

Random quote of the day, that oddly applies to me quite well.

I'm one of those people that laughs at a joke 3 times
First when it's told to me
Again when it's explained to me
and
Then 5 minutes later when i finally understand it

A Cold toe story

Twas a grand day for a run in the foothills of boulder. The sun was high in the sky, and yet it was warmer yesterday after it had snowed than it was when i ran at 3 in the afternoon. Nonetheless i ran from Chautauqua up the saddle rock trail. It was entirely in the shade and entirely covered in snow as seen in the picture, which made my toes cold. Not my feet, legs, hands or anything, just my feet. I think that the snow would sneak in between the toes of my vibrams, and melt, then refreeze. Either way, it was a good run, and i got to climb some rocks because i felt adventurous.

After running for 30 minutes up hill, i turned around and came down probably about 1000 feet of snow trail, which was actually quite fun. As i came to an intersection at the bottom of the canyon, i came upon a runner who was strapping yak-traks to his feet. He looked like Anton Krupicka, but he lives in Colorado Springs, so i figured it was jesus. I didn't get a picture, but it looked like this.

In all reality, Jesus rocks, and i'm pretty sure he ran barefoot. Thats my day, logged somewhere between 6-8 miles, and yup.

A barefoot Story

So, yesterday at school i wore sandals because i was washing my vibrams. I've been battling it out with a cold this week, so i was in desperate need of some kleenex. There wasn't any in the room, so my teacher told me that i could go run and get some from her office. At that, i left my sandals by the desk, and after leaving the classroom, i took off for the office. After i got the kleenex, i turned the corner into the hall, and noticed the head of my teacher peeking out the doorway, and as soon as i came into sight, she ducked back into the room. As i reentered the room, she said,
"I said run didn't i."
A fellow classmate made the comment
"No one wants to be barefoot more than Paul"
That was this weeks "oh paul...." moment. There will be lots more of those, trust me.
Fun fact, i also bowled a 235 today, here's proof

Park 1

Greetings blogoshpere!
Today i ran 6 miles barfuss (german for barefoot), and it felt pretty good. Here is an example of what i do on my runs.
See, running by itself is indeed fun, but i like to make it exciting and unexpected. I also find it funny how people tend to see me when i'm running, especially in my vibrams. I've come to learn that honking is, "Hey i know you" and not, "I despise your fanaticism!". I enjoy a good run, and this season is perfect for running into fields of geese. I'll try and put up a video tomorrow. I have hunger, i think i'll go find myself a poisonberry pie.

Random Time!

Today was a pretty good day. My sis advises me that i should make the world aware of my shenanigans, so heres one example. At school, i enjoy walking into a random classroom, and at discovering that i am in the incorrect room i exclaim, "Whaaaaa!!!???" and leave the room. I've found that this is the most fun to do in freshman classes, because they don't know what to do. Ah freshman. Also, i learned how to draw a foot today. Sort of.

I went for a 3 mile run barefoot today, and it felt relatively decent given that i had eaten a good 3 pounds worth of noodles, wantons, chicken, beef, chicken, crab, and jello. Lets just say my stomach wasn't exactly thrilled to go for a run. Anyways, there was a shadow following me for part of the run, so i took a picture. It mysteriously disappeared in the shade. But hey, No Shoes, No Blues. Well, not true, in some conditions my toes turn blue in the cold.

First Post!

Ah my first blog. A momentous occasion indeed.

Well, i've officially begun a challenge to run my entire outdoor track season barefoot (vibram five fingers included) and this blog will chart my progress. And just for fun ill have some random quotes.

I leave you with this. I dream of a better tommorow... where chickens can cross roads and not have their motives questioned.
